3rd Annual “Host-Pathogen Interactions: Circuits to Systems” Symposium

Monday, January 23, 2017, from 8:30 am to 7 pm

Sanford Consortium For Regenerative Medicine

Register for the event here

In collaboration with SDCSB and the Innate Immune Responses and Vaccines against Tumor-associated Herpesviruses P01 grant, the NIAID-funded FluOMICS and FluDyNeMo Programs are pleased to announce the registration and poster abstract submission for the 3rd Annual Symposium on Host-Pathogen Interactions: Circuits to Systems is now open.

Elucidating the molecular mechanisms that govern host-pathogen interactions is a subject of intense research in the field of infectious disease.  National and local thought leaders will discuss current gaps in our understanding of how pathogens manage to evade host immune surveillance and establish acute and chronic infection states.  Cutting edge systems biology approaches will be highlighted to describe recent advances in molecular and systems analyses of microbial-host interactions, disease pathogenesis, and immune responses.

Poster Abstracts

The talks will be followed by a Poster Session and Reception.  We encourage online abstract submission for posters; two authors will be selected to speak about their work at the symposium.  Abstract submissions must include: 1) Title, up to 150 characters including spaces; 2) Author’s full name and affiliation; and 3) Text only abstract, limit of 250 words. Abstracts are due by January 6, 2017, please submit your abstract here.

Travel Grants

Students and postdoctoral fellows are encouraged to apply for a limited number of travel grants that will be awarded.  Please apply via the application link found at the registration website (please remember to also register for the meeting). Travel grants are due by December 31, 2016, please submit your travel grant here.
