Thursday, September 10, 2015, from 1 pm to 7 pm
UCSD Medical Education and Telemedicine (MET) Building, Room 141
Recently, many host-pathogen relationships have been explored using high-throughput approaches that uncover novel biology through the application of quantitative and unbiased proteomics methods. This workshop will focus on the best practices in the field for applying quantitative proteomics approaches to study host-pathogen relationships. Speakers will describe the latest and most effective methods for probing protein-protein interactions, post-translational modifications, as well as advanced approaches to add quantitative value to proteomics studies. Special attention will be placed on experimental design and bioinformatics strategies for each approach that maximize the amount of biological information that can be extracted from highly complex proteomics data.
This meeting is open to the public but seats are limited so be sure to register early.
