Conferences & Workshops
San Diego Center for Systems Biology (SDCSB)
Dr. Lev Tsimring, BioCircuits Institute, UC San Diego (BioCircuits Institute)
The SDCSB Mathematical Modeling Core presents a series of hands-on tutorials on kinetic modeling of intracellular dynamical processes and gene regulation.
The topics covered by the tutorials will include:
1. Deterministic modeling: model derivation, simulation, and techniques
2. Bifurcation analysis of deterministic models
3. Stochastic modeling techniques
4. Model fitting and parameter sensitivity analysis
The format of the tutorials: 5 daily 2-hour sessions. The first hour of every session will be the theoretical overview of the material followed by an hour of guided hands-on exercises (participants will have to bring their own laptops!). This series of tutorials is intended for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers of affiliated SDCSB labs interested in learning computational modeling tools and their applications to biological problems. Limited to 25 participants.
Monday, March 18 – Friday, March 22, 2013. 2:00pm – 4:00pm
UC San Diego, Natural Sciences Building
Online Registration Required.
*No Show Policy*
While we do not charge a fee to attend this event, these programs would not be sustainable and available to all wanting to attend, unless all registrants abide by the 72 hour cancellation notice policy. A no-show will also limit your ability to book our events in the future. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
