Math Modeling Tutorial Workshop 2017

March 27 – 31, 2017, from 10 am – 12 pm

Room 2130, Bonner Hall, UC San Diego

Organizer: Dr. Lev Tsimring, BioCircuits Institute, UC San Diego

The Network Assembly and Mathematical Modeling Core of the San Diego Center for Systems Biology presents a series of hands-on tutorials on kinetic modeling of intracellular dynamical processes and gene regulation. The schedule and topics covered by the tutorials is as follows:

Day 1: Overview
Day 2: Deterministic modeling: model derivation, simulation, and techniques
Day 3: Bifurcation analysis of deterministic models
Day 4: Stochastic modeling techniques
Day 5: Model fitting and parameter sensitivity analysis

The format of the tutorials is 5 daily 2-hour sessions. The first hour of every session will be the theoretical overview of the material followed by an hour of guided hands-on exercises. Participants must bring their own laptops.

This series of tutorials is intended for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers of affiliated SDCSB labs interested in learning computational modeling tools and their applications to biological problems.

This workshop is limited to 25 participants.

Please register for the event here.

No Show Policy

While we do not charge a fee to attend this event, these and our other events would be unsustainable unless those unable to attend cancelled their reservations no later than 2 days before the event. A no-show can limit your ability to book our events in the future. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
